For the Fall-Winter 2020 collection, Versace Jeans Couture fuses 60s and 90s aesthetics with the irreverent spirit of modern-day street culture.

A focal point of the brand’s exploration, statement denim, evokes the rebellious attitude of decades past.
Printed jeans are iconoclastically worn with pinstriped tailoring, while spray coated denim gives a bleached effect.Contemporary silhouettes are embellished with studwork and heritage hardware tips that are also transferred onto accessories; core jeans lend their embellishment to a line of eco-leather handbags in a print that emulates the triple gold-tone stitching seen on iconic pieces.

The Women’s Collection contrasts the hyper-feminine aesthetic with rebellious details, giving a nod to the Riot grrrl movement of the 90s which subverted the ‘girly’ as an act of protest. In pastel ‘Hollywood pink’ and peppermint tones, raw-cut lace and tulle dresses are juxtaposed with leather jackets and biker boots. . Key silhouettes included 60s inspired shift dresses, baby doll shapes and exaggerated fit and flares. Where on face value the collection seems innocent and cute, subtle details evoke a more rebellious attitude.

The Men’s Collection adds a street edge to casual suiting, combining tailoring with sportswear details and finishing. A broad-shouldered silhouette is introduced, with key pieces embellished with leopard animalier print accents. Structured peacoats are layered over bleached denim. Flashes of fluorescent color elevate workwear and are prevalent across activewear styles and accessories.

Foulard prints are constructed into accessories and ready-to-wear styles across the collection. Shoulder bags are accessorized with patchwork-printed foulards. Fusing Baroque, animalier and paisley, the colorful foulards are also placed on sweatshirts or inserted asymmetrically onto t-shirts and shirts giving them a contemporary new shape.
